What's New!?!
We had another great week. I enjoyed having the kids bring in a share item and telling the class why that object was special to them. I also really liked seeing the timelines! They were very cute and I can tell you all put a lot of effort into them.
Math:
• Addition
• Subtraction
• Making shapes with other shapes
• Graphing
Kidwriting:
• Writing our reflective piece (our favorite thing about kindergarten)
Literacy:
• Identifying the main idea and supporting details in books about bugs

With the end of the year winding down there are a lot of important papers that will need to be sent home at times. Please make sure to send your child’s folder in every day. Make sure to check it each night for any important notes or letters.
NO MORE HOMEWORK!!! After looking over the kiddos timelines I thought that was a perfect way to end our homework for the year. For the remainder of the school year there will be no more homework. Enjoy these beautiful evenings with your family!
Family Fun Night was a great success! Thanks to all who came out and supported the event.
Keep sending in the box tops so we can win the school-wide challenge!
**Make sure to sign and return the permission slip for the transition field trip on the 23rd. Please turn it in ASAP!
It’s that time of year when lots of the kids get involved in after school activities. If you bring in a sports schedule I would love to come to some of the kiddos games. Even if it is over the summer!
I’m working on collecting books that I can put in our Reading Center that the kids can enjoy. If you have any old books that your child has outgrown or doesn’t enjoy reading in more, please consider donating them to our classroom! We would love the opportunity to enjoy them for the rest of the year and for years to come!
END OF THE YEAR LUAU!!! To celebrate these wonderful kiddos finishing kindergarten and heading to first grade we will have a class luau on Friday, May 27th. I would like to invite all parents to attend. We will start at 12:30 with playing a variety of relay games in the field for about an hour. Then we will come in and each of the kids will share what their favorite thing about kindergarten was. I will then present each of the students will a certificate for finishing kindergarten. Afterwards we will celebrate with a mini buffet of luau snacks. A sign up sheet will be coming home soon on foods you can bring in!
